Steven J. Wohl graduated from the University of Rochester (A.B. magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) in 1966 and received his law degree, cum laude, from Columbia University Law School in 1969, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and an International Fellow. Mr. Wohl has spent his entire career concentrating his practice in all aspects of gift and estate tax planning, trust and estate administration and estate litigation, both as an associate at two major New York City law firms and thereafter as senior partner of his own small trusts and estates boutique firm. Mr. Wohl became Senior Counsel to the firm in 2016.

Mr. Wohl, a member of the Trusts and Estates Section of the New York State Bar, has been published in leading periodicals in his field. For many years, he has also lectured to both professional and lay audiences, including as a faculty member of the New School for Social Research and as an adjunct professor at the N.Y.U. School of Continuing Education.

Mr. Wohl is the proud father and grandfather of six children and four grandchildren, and of Bill, his 13-1/2 year old handsome Portuguese Water Dog, with whom he shares a passion for bass fishing on Lake Mahopac in Putnam County, where Mr. Wohl and his wife, Nancy, reside.
